This is it, the Apocalips

Hey guys!
Today I thought I would share with you a product that I have been using all summer and have been loving. That is the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers or (If you are from America, like where I purchased mine) the Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers. I think that most people will know what this product is because it is a highly talked about lip lacquer that a lot of people have been raving about. So when my dad did his yearly trip to America I knew I needed to ask him to pick me up one or two. You could say I was jumping for joy when he returned with these two!

Now into the details of this product. As you can see in the photos above I have two of the Apocalips (sorry Americans, I love the European name more!) in the colors 500 Luna and 400 Big Bang. These products are highly pigmented and I tend to use the Luna one more because a bright red lip can be hard to pull off. I do like the Big Bang one for when I go out and go to parties and stuff. On the other hand the Luna has a really nice color and I use it daily. The Luna has more of a pink-orange color although it looks really orange in my pictures. Now what really impressed me overall about this product was how creamy it goes on and how it seems to last for awhile (not as long as I hoped, but touching up always helps). The only downfall of this product is that it tends to make my lips a little dry but I always remember to put on lip balm before and after using the product to keep my lips moisturized.

Here is a picture of me wearing the Big Bang and my sister wearing the Luna. Please excuse our cringey duck face!

Overall, I am very interested in getting more of these lip lacquers and trying more of the amazing colors (especially the nude one!). I would probably give this product an 8/10 and I will defiantly continue using them during the Fall!

So have you tried this amazing product yet? If you have, whats your favorite color?

Whats In My School Bag?

Hey guys!
With Everyone either heading back to school or already in school, I thought it would be a good idea to share with you the things I carry in my backpack. When it comes to going to school there are a few essentials for your school bag. I would say that everything I carry to school has a purpose whether its keeping me hydrated (my school has no water fountains so you have to bring your own water bottles to fill up in the bathrooms if you run out) or going out with friends after school. Here is every single thing I have in my bag :)
(Luckily I dont have to bring all those books with me everyday!)
(You can never go wrong with gum and I never forget my tissues and iphone/headphones. A day without music sucks)
(I tend to skip breakfast a lot because I love to sleep in later than I am suppose to (naughty me) so I always bring a snack or two to eat in-between classes)
(I know it looks like a lot but my school is in the middle of the city so I tend to go out with friends right after school and I cant go to a grade party without some of this stuff!)
(I love my band-aids :) They are Mickey Mouse ones!)♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ Products Seen In The Pictures Above ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

The Body Shop Vitamin E Trio

Hey guys!
Today I thought I would share with you this amazing trio from The Body Shop. Ive been using this product since April and I absolutely love it (I have even purchased a second round of it!). This is a trio set of a cleanser, toner, and facial moisturizer which contains large amounts of vitamin E (also known as the moisturizing vitamin). Being a teenager, it is very important for me to try and maintain healthy skin seeing as I am prone to acne and dryness. I find that this product works perfectly for my skin type of oily and dry skin. I have been able to see the difference in my skin after only a few uses! This is my go-to product to use at night before I go to sleep so I can wake up with a fresh and moisturized face. Now onto each product :)

Cleanser: This is my first step when I use this product and a little goes a long way. The job of cleansers (for those of you who may not know) is to dig way deep into those pores and remove oil, makeup, and grime (yuck!). This particular cleanser is super creamy and easily massages into the skin when applying it. Once you have covered your whole face with it, all you have to do is take a cotton pad and wipe the product away.

Toner: When applying this toner all you have to do is pour some onto a cotton pad and swipe it across your face to remove the final traces of makeup and dirt. I really like how it instantly melts into your skin leaving you with a clean feeling face.

Facial Moisturizer: This moisturizer is super good at reviving the skin and you can see the difference only after a few uses (that is if you have dry skin). My nose area tends to get really dry and after applying this product my skin looks fresher and clearer the next day. The moisturizer melts straight into the skin and I can use it all over my face without breaking out (very important!). I feel like I do have to warn you that when my mother used this moisturizer it made her eyes all red and puffy so it might not be for those who have sensitive skin!

Overall I would give this product 10/10. I have strayed away from this product a couple of times but I always tend to come back to it because I feel like this is the perfect combination for my skin. Everyone has a different type of skin and I have found that this is the perfect match for me. I would recommend this product to anyone who has oily and dry skin because this product will work wonders!

So what are your top cleansers, toners, and facial moisturizers? What would you like to see me review next?

♡ What Im Wearing

Jeans ~ Zara
Watch ~ Asos
Jewelry ~ Six
Bag ~ Nordstrom
Hairband ~ Forever 21
Top, Sweater, and Sneakers ~ H&M

Hey guys!
Today I am having a lazy Saturday at home munching on pretzels as I write this. There is really nothing better than a weekend doing nothing other than catching up on all the tv shows you have wanted to watch for awhile. But seeing as the weather is absolutely gorgeous today, I decided that I should go outside and have a walk through the park.

Finland is such a beautiful country and the capital, Helsinki, is full of parks and lovely beaches. Only recently moving to Helsinki, I love to explore the park in front of my house and find my own secret isolated areas. I can tell that fall is coming with each day that passes. I had to pull out my good old sweater since I was taking these photos in the morning and it got a little chilly. Part of me wishes that summer would last a little longer but another part of me is excited to dig deep into that closet and pull out all my oversized jumpers. It feels like summer started just a few weeks ago yet its already Fall! Where does the time go!?

So are you ready for Fall? What TV shows are you watching? Im currently catching up on  Teen Wolfs and How I Met Your Mother :)

Say Hello To Moisturized Lips!

Hey guys!
With fall and cooler weather right around the corner it is time to start taking better care of our lips to prevent chappyness. If there is one thing that I always want to make sure to moisturize, its my lips. No one wants to have the look of chapped lips and speak about the difficulty of getting lip gloss and lipstick to go on smoothly. Here are some of my favorite chapsticks and lip moisturizes which can be bought in most drugstores!

Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm in 05 Quenched
I would have to say that Baby Lips is probably one of of the most talked about lip moisturizers and everyone seems to rave over this product. I have this balm in 05 Quenched and I also have it in 25 Pink Punch (But I lost it *enter sad face*). I really like this product although I dont think it is the best product in the world. The packaging is really cute though and it smells great. This product goes on really smoothly and as a bonus it even has SPF 20 to protect those lips from the sun. When I still had Baby Lips in Pink Punch there was also a slight pinkish tone that looked perfect for school when you want some color on your lips without lipstick or gloss. I would highly recommend this product to those with chapped lips or those who want some color on their lips.

Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm
Although this lip balm and chapstick might not be the best smelling or tasting thing in the entire world I have to admit that it does exactly what it says on the tube. It (and I quote) smooths, relieves, and moisturizes your lips. As soon as you put this product on you can literally feel your lips slightly tingle and react to the product. This is the product I usually use in the winter as it really keeps my lips looking nice and moisturized. This lip balm also protects your lips from harsh winds, the sun, and dry weather which is a must in those situations. When it comes to whether the stick or tube is better I don't really have an answer because I feel both are equally good!

EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balms in Smooth Mint and Strawberry Sorbet
At the moment this is probably my most used lip balm. I use this product multiple times during the day and its the only lip balm I bring in my school bag. The main reason is because of the smell and taste that this lip balm has on your lips. The Strawberry Sorbet smells good enough to eat and glides on so smoothly. Honestly, I'm not as big of a fan of the smooth mint one but it does everything the Strawberry Sorbet one does so I will continue to use it. This product is super moisturizing and full of vitamin E and natural ingredients. It literally lasts forever and the cap is easy to get on and off without it falling off in your purse or bag. I defiantly need to go out and try some new flavors because I love this product so much!

Burt Bees Beeswax Lip Balm and Bert Bees Super Glossy Lip Shine
Another very common product that I love for the fall and winter is Bert Bees lip products.  This product smooths, cools, and refreshers your lips. Like the Carmex lip balm this product also tingles your lips and gives you a cool refreshed feeling (like the bottle says!). The Beeswax Lip Balm smells of peppermint (which is a huge bonus for me!) while the Lip gloss smells fruity. Although the Lip gloss is not a lip balm I find that it still moisturizes your lips nicely and is nice to place on top of the Beeswax Lip Balm to give some color.

I really love every single one of these lip balms and use them throughout the year. I love switching up my lip balms and moisturizers for a little change and to have something new.

So what do you guys think? Do you have or will you try any of these products? Or do you have any recommendations for me?

Wish Filled Stars Is Finally Ready!

After weeks of working on the layout of my blog it is finally ready to be viewed by the world! But first I should introduce myself...
Hi, my name is Christina and welcome to my blog, Wish Filled Stars! I am seventeen years old and I am half American half Danish (although I live in Helsinki, Finland). I have a huge passion for everything beauty, fashion, and travel. Right now I am finishing my high school degree and dreaming of studying art and design in university.

One of the main reasons I decided to create this blog was because I have become some-what obsessed with reading beauty blogs and watching Youtubers express their love for all things beauty. I have slowly found myself becoming more and more interested in blogging and exploring even more into the world of beauty and fashion. Travel is something I also wanted to add to this blog because, you could say, it is in my blood. I have been traveling since I was a little kid and I have loved every second of it. I love walking and getting lost in different cities and enjoying the beautiful nature each country has to offer (I am also very fond of my camera and love capturing the essence of a place).

I hope you enjoy my blog and if you ever have questions or comments feel free to give my "contact me" link a click any time. Ill always try to reply as soon as possible. Enjoy reading :)
