Designer Watch - Elie Saab

Okay so after having Zuhair Murad being my last designer watch its safe to say that i do have a favorite style. These two designers share many similarities with their details and beautiful feminine pieces. Of course they also share many differences especially with color and style. Elie Saad styles are dramatic and beautiful while contrasting. He includes very feminine pieces and contrastes them with more dramatic pieces by using shades of deep reds and detailed embroidery. By doing this he is able to have his pieces contrast in a way which creates a unique sense of beauty to each piece.

So what do you guys think? Do you like his pieces too?

ESCADA: Born In Paradise

The other day I was walking through the largest department store in my city and decided to take a look at the perfume section. Having it just recently been my birthday, I was looking for a new scent to invest in that would be perfect for the summer and I think I found it with this one. I have been a huge fan of the Escada scents especially when I first stumbled upon their limited perfume Cherry In The Air. I had heard that they had just come out with a new perfume so I was excited to give it a sniff when I saw it on display in the store.

Let me tell you, this scent is perfect for summer and was exactly what I was looking for. It has a very sweet and fruity scent to it which I really like, although I do know that many people are not into these types of scents. When reading about it on the Escada website it goes through the list of things included within the perfume such as green apple, pineapple, and coconut to give it a Pina Colada type of smell which is very true.

The actual bottle came in the box seen above that already gives it its summer/tropical island feel. The bottle overall is slim and has a lovely design. I find that the lid is a little overly large but its not really that big of a deal. I purchased the 30 ml and I know it will last me a long time, at least through the summer. I was also very pleased that when I made the purchase the smaller 7.4 ml one was thrown into the price. I would defiantly give this perfume a solid 8.5/10.

So have you tried the Escada Born In Paradise? What do you think of it?

Designer Watch - Zuhair Murad

Okay so I might have a slight addiction to Zuhair Murad and his designs. Every single item in his collection is absolutely beautiful and it was almost impossible for me not to include an image of every single design! From his ready to wear to his Haute Couture Collection, you could say that I am in love. Its no wonder that his pieces have been seen all over the red carpet with photographers eager to get a shot of the elegant styles. From Taylor Swift to Sofia Vergara to countless others have all been spotted in his designs.

For those of you who might not know Murad is a Lebanese designer who obtained his fashion degree in Paris. In 1999 Murad made his first appearance in Rome and ever since has become an established and well known designer. This past January Murad presented his Spring/Summer collection and it is absolutely breathtaking. Murad is able to maintain a classic look while incorporating deep cut outs and skin coloured fabric. From the lace detailing to the meticulous embroidery, his pieces have surely made a mark on the fashion world.

The atmosphere in which he presented his maxi, mini, and jumpsuit styles have a sense of royalty to them. With the addition of the whimsical music and the floral backdrop, it seems as if a royal garden party is unfolding in front of his audiences. Thousands of flowers flow down his designs while golden leaf shaped belts and golden pointy pumps adorn the dresses. The sweeping skirts and the pastel colors of baby blue, white, peach, yellow, and pink perfectly embodying the idea of spring.

So what do you guys think? Do you like his pieces too?

P.S.

Although this piece is not from his spring/summer collection I just wanted to add it because I have become a bit obsessed with Frozen. This dress reminds me of Elsa! The color and the shape and ugh just everything reminds me of it. It has such great detailing and I absolutely love it.
